Click on Settings > General > Network
Check that “Enable 3G” is set to “On”
Check that "Cellular Data" is set to "On"
Click the ‘Home’ button
Hold down the power button (top of phone) & home button for a few seconds until the phone restarts.
Note: Your data speeds will vary depending on the signal strength and coverage.
Carrier settings update often, so make sure you download the latest carrier settings on iTunes and keep your iPhone in sync.
To set up tethering, or Personal Hotspot on your iPhone
Click on Settings > General > Network
Check that “Personal Hotspot” is set to “On”
Note: Make sure you keep your Hotspot password secret. Whilst Hotspot is enabled it is very easy to use a lot of data in a short time. Make sure you keep an eye on your usage as you may be using data faster than the usage meter can update.
